Research and Development
Team R&D at Isola
The main focus of Isola’s R&D Department is to develop new products. This also includes developing and improving existing products to the standards required in order to meet the changes that are constantly taking place in the global climate. The framework for the development process is Isola’s strategies and its business concept of leading the field in solving moisture problems for the building trade. Isola’s products are adapted to suit the Norwegian and European markets.
Team R&D has 7 employees: 4 engineers, two laboratory technicians and one systems engineer. It is divided into two main areas: a laboratory and a building technology section. The laboratory is responsible for the development of raw materials and the monitoring of production processes by control of raw materials and finished products. The building technology section is responsible for system development and product application.
Team R&D coorporates closely with other teams and departments and plays a key role in interdisciplinary product groups for quality improvement and product development. Most of its work is project-based. This work is led by Team Manager Jørgen Young.
Team R&D at Platon factory
The Product Technical Centre at Platon has similar tasks to the R&D Team at Isola. In Team PTS Platon there are 6 employees: 3 engineers and 3 technicians, in a building technology section and the laboratory.
