Filmtex
Filmtex is a self supporting underlay on a roll. It is impervious and suitable for use as underlay in non-insulated roof constructions (garages and operational/agricultural buildings, etc.). Filmtex does not absorb condensation and should therefore only be used in cold and well-ventilated buildings.
Areas of application
Filmtex is an impervious underlay on a roll. This underlay cannot absorb condensation and should therefore only be used on non-insulated sloping roofs where the roof or whole building is cold and well ventilated. Filmtex can also be used as a vapour barrier when a strong, robust one is required.
Filmtex is laid directly on the rafters and may be used on roof with a minimum pitch of 15o.
This underlay can be laid both in the direction of roof pitch or along the roof. On purlin roofs the membrane can be laid both above and below the purlins.
Filmtex is a woven membrane consisting of monoaxially orientated splitfilm in HD polyethylene coated on each side with a layer of LD polyethylene. The construction ensures that the membrane is sealed, strong and durable.
