Isola Luftespalte (air gap)
Areas of application
Isola Luftespaltesystem (air gap system) is a complete system designed to provide insulated sloping roofs with efficient ventilation and wind-proofing. The system is installed from the inside between the trusses, thus forming a ventilation gap and a continuous wind barrier in the roof construction. Isola Luftespaltesystem can be used on sloping roofs with a pitch of down to 15o and is particularly suitable for renovated roofs.
Isola Luftespaltesystem has been tested by the Norwegian Building Research Institute and its technical properties and conditions for use have thus been confirmed.
Type - measurements - weight
Isola Luftespaltesystem consists of Isola Luftespalte (air gap) and Isola Raftepapp (rafter felt) that have both been punched out from water repellent and porous corrugated felt/sheets of cardboard. Even though these products have one side that is water repellent, the air gap system should not be exposed to rain and snow once it has been installed.
Technical data
Water vapour penetration: 1.32 g/m2hPa
Water-tightness: Water repellent
Venting properties: 0.003 m3/m2hPa
