Areas of application

Filmtex Absorbent is a self supporting type underlay supplied on a roll with condensation absorbing layer.
This underlay is impervious and has been designed for use on all types of sloping roofs with battens - both insulated and non-insulated, provided that there is adequate ventilation between the insulation and the underlay. Filmtex Absorbent is laid directly on the rafters and may be used on roofs with a minimum pitch of 15o.
Areas of application: slates, tiles and steel tiles such as Isola Powertekk, etc.

Product description

Filmtex Absorbent consists of a woven layer of monoaxially orientated splitfilm in HD polyethylene coated on each side with a layer of LD polyethylene, and with polypropylene felt on the underside to absorb condensation. This creates a waterproof and windproof roof that is completely "quiet" due to the moisture-absorbing felt on the underside.
