Isola Museband (mouse strip)
Isola Museband is used in detached houses, holiday cottages, garages, offices and industrial/agricultural buildings. This product is maintenance-free and is made from 0.4 mm corrosion-resistant aluzinc. Isola Museband is suitable for all types of cladding, horizontal and vertical panels and profiled steel sheets, etc.
Installation
Isola Museband is nailed to trusses/wind barriers using, for example, felt staples before installing supporting beams/facing boards. Cladding with a thickness of 15-30 mm may be used. Isola Museband effectively prevents mice from entering beneath the cladding and at the same time it provides ventilation behind the cladding.
For vertical cladding
The supporting beams are installed in the usual way. The part of the strip covered by a beam presses the strip flat. When the upper beam is installed the divided and profiled part of the strip is pressed down so that the opening between the upper and lower beams is covered by the mouse strip. When using ties behind the nailing strips it is necessary to use wooden plugs or 2 sets of mouse strips.
For horizontal cladding
Fit Isola Museband directly onto the wind barrier. The nailing strips, clamping battens and cladding should be fitted in the usual way.
Isola Museband should be fitted continuously along the wall with end-to-end joints. One length covers 1,250 mm of the wall.
Isola Museband is included in the Isola Wall System, but can also be used in connection with other systems.
Isola Museband is protected by patent.
