What is special about Isola roofing shingles?

Up to 10 m rafter length all shapes can be layed starting with 15º roof pitch.

Why do other manufacturers have much higher minimum roof pitches than Isola? 

Other manufacturers offer only shingles with an overlapping depending on the roof pitch. Isola shingles have a preset and constant overlapping.

Do I have to calculate an increased consumption of Isola roofing shingles on roofs with low pitch? 
No. Isola roofing shingles are layed with a constant overlapping independent of the roof pitch. That saves material costs and working time.

Do Isola roofing shingles conform to any standards? 
Yes. Isola roofing shingles comply with the CE standard and also fulfill the strict requirements for the EN 544.

For roofs with normal demands we recommend Isola Schalungsbahn. For higher requirements use Isola Isokraft.

Does a shingle roof to be rear ventilated? 
Absolute yes. Every shingle roof is nearly steamtight. Therefore you have to design supply air and exaust air escapes at the eaves and the ridge.

Can I renovate an existing shingle roof with Isola roofing shingles? 
Yes, often without demolition of the old shingle roof. Install a compensational underlayer and lay the new shingles directly.

I have a partial area below the required roof pitch of 15º. Can I lay Isola roofing shingles anyway? 
Yes, in most of the cases. Therefore the will must be layed with a special welding technique. In this case Please contact one of our technicians.

What is Isola Skifer? 
Isola Skifer is a special and unique shingle form that refers to a classic slate roofs. This form and the way of laying it is novalty for the bitumen shingles market.

Why is Isola Skifer layed with rising courses? 
This way of laying lokks most like a classic slate roof. Additional this laying technique provides a high rain tightness.

Do I have to calculate the rising course for each roof? 
No. Their is only one standard pitch for all roof pitches (25% or 14º).

Yes. There are special guidee shingles for all kind of detail construction.

Can I fix the shingle with cramps?
 
The fixing with cramps is not recommended. We recommend solely fixing with corrosion-resistant clout nails.
